TransEd delivers comprehensive resources to assist transgender and non-binary young adults with the resources they need to complete their educational goals. By fostering community partnerships and offering scholarships, our goal is for students to have access to housing and food security, transportation, attire, tuition, and learning materials. Our approach is holistic and contributes to the cultivation of their achievements.
Our tutors meet with clients weekly for one-on-one and/or group online tutoring sessions. Additionally, our peer mentors connect with students bi-monthly to offer support and assess their individual needs.
Our program guides our clients through the preparation process for GED certification. We focus on one subject at a time, at the client's pace. Our goal is to guide our clients through Reasoning Through Language Arts , Social Studies, Science, and Mathematical Reasoning.
Our generous sponsors and donors help us provide clients with new computers, books, notebooks, school supplies, private tutoring and GED exam fees.
We offer an annual vocational/higher education scholarship award for transgender and non-binary individuals. Ages 18-34 are encouraged to apply.
